The Last U-Boat
Near the end of World War II, Nazi saboteurs secretly construct a U-Boat along the shore of Lake Erie as part of a desperate plan to cripple the American war effort. The mission collapses before launch, and the submarine disappears into history.
Eighty years later, a group of teenagers discovers the vessel hidden underground, preserved in astonishing condition.
Naturally, they report it to the authorities.
No. They don’t.
Using equal parts ingenuity, recklessness, and courage, they attempt the impossible: launch the submarine from its concealed berth fifty feet above the lake and take it to sea.
What follows is a dangerous, unforgettable adventure guided by a hard-bitten retired Marine Gunnery Sergeant whose only rule is simple:
“Don’t die.”
A nail-biting passage through storms, danger, buried secrets, and the lure of adventure.
